Bio

I was born in Medellín in the 1980s. I'm an architect by training and a multidisciplinary artist by passion. My practice—focused mainly on drag, photography, and collage—explores themes of gender, identity, and media irony through the creation of characters and images, both still and animated. Influenced by surrealism, club kid culture, fashion, and conceptual art, I'm best known for my gender-fluid persona Sementha Alexander, host of the underground party King Size Queen in New York City for eight years. My work has been featured in various art and media publications.

Nací en Medellín en los años 80. Soy arquitecto de profesión y artista multidisciplinar por pasión. Mi práctica, centrada principalmente en el drag, la fotografía y el collage, explora temas de género, identidad e ironía mediática a través de la creación de personajes e imágenes, tanto fijas como animadas. Influenciado por el surrealismo, la cultura club kid, la moda y el arte conceptual, soy conocido por mi personaje de género fluido Sementha Alexander, anfitriona de la fiesta underground King Size Queen en Nueva York durante ocho años. Mi trabajo ha sido publicado en diversos medios artísticos y de prensa.
